Confidential Executive Search  ·  Chief Executive Officer

Lead an organization built on heart and discipline.

Envoy Nexus is conducting a confidential search for the next Chief Executive Officer of a founder-led human services organization serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Maryland and Pennsylvania.

The Charge

Built to do good, and to do well.

The hiring company is a for-profit provider of home and community-based services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It was built deliberately at the intersection of heart and business: exceptional outcomes for the people it supports, delivered by an organization that is honorably profitable, sustainable, and positioned for disciplined growth.

Neither half is negotiable, and neither is subordinate to the other. The next CEO will protect that balance while taking the organization into its next stage of growth.

01

Programmatic excellence

Person-centered services held to a standard that families, regulators, and staff can see and trust.

02

Honorable profitability

Financial discipline that funds quality and sustains the mission over the long term.

03

Tech-forward by design

Technology applied with excellence and pragmatic discipline, a proven differentiator in how the organization operates.

The Role

What you will lead, and who we are looking for.

The charge of the CEO

  • Own enterprise strategy, operating performance, and P&L across Maryland and Pennsylvania.
  • Raise the bar on service quality, regulatory compliance, and person-centered outcomes.
  • Build and develop a leadership team and culture defined by excellence and grace.
  • Drive disciplined growth, including payer diversification and new service lines.
  • Represent the organization with state agencies, partners, families, and the community.

The leader we seek

  • Senior executive experience in human services, healthcare, or another regulated, people-intensive sector.
  • A record of full P&L ownership and profitable, quality-led growth.
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid waiver, HCBS, or comparable reimbursement environments.
  • Fluency with data and technology as tools for running the business.
  • Visible values: warmth toward the people served, candor with the team, and accountability for results.
A Supported Transition

You will not be dropped in.

The founder moves to Chairman when the new CEO starts and stays engaged through a structured onboarding, so that relationships, institutional knowledge, and systems transfer cleanly.
